Colleagues:  Planning continues for the 2009 25th meeting of the ISSSS in S=
t. Louis.  Here's the latest information:

Registrations forms for the conference are now available for download at th=
e following web address:
http://qmethod.org/qconference/current/registration.html.  Registrations af=
ter Sept. 24 will only be taken at the convention registration desk.

Conference registration for will be $200 for faculty/professionals; $125 fo=
r students; and $150 for retirees (over 65).  The conference will start at =
1 p.m. on Thursday, October 8th.

Friday night banquet keynoter will be Don Brenner, retired Univ. of Missour=
i journalism professor, who was a faculty colleague of William Stephenson. =
 Brenner served as the first president of ISSSS.

Diane Montgomery (Oklahoma State) will present a basic Q workshop on Thursd=
ay afternoon for students and interested professionals.  The workshop is op=
en as a one-time event for those not attending the conference.  More inform=
ation about the format and length of the workshop will be forthcoming.

Friday morning will feature a 25th anniversary panel discussing the history=
 of the meeting from its beginnings at the School of Journalism, University=
 of Missouri.  Both Brenner and Rob Logan, host of the Bethseda conference,=
 will moderate the panel.

The traditional conference opening reception will be held at the Crowne Pla=
za Hotel on Thursday evening.

On Sunday morning, interested registrants can board a bus for a two-hour tr=
ip to Columbia, Mo. to visit the house of William Stephenson and family.  O=
ur host will be Stephenson's daughter, Mariel, who will also attend the con=
ference along with other family members.  Other activities in Columbia are =
in the works and with the return trip to St. Louis, registrants will be bac=
k by 6 p.m.  This event will require a minimum of 20 persons to be feasible=
.

Information about research paper sessions and other panels will be forthcom=
ing.  Stay tuned.

Crowne Plaza Hotel-Downtown will host the 2009 conference.  Rooms can be re=

As mentioned earlier, St. Louis is a jewel of a city hidden in the deepest =
