Subject: New Jersey Communication Association Conference
Are you interested in presenting at a conference?
Consider being a part of the Great Ideas for Teaching =
Speech/Communication
(GIFTS) session for the New Jersey Communication Association Conference =
that
I am coordinating. =20
If you have created a valuable, interesting, or innovative college-level
teaching idea that you use in your communication class, you're the =
perfect
panelist!
We want to hear teaching ideas that help make course material =
interesting,
more accessible, memorable, and/ or meaningful for students!
At a GIFTS session, each presenter discusses his or her teaching idea
(exercises, activities, assignments, etc.) with a small group of =
attendees
seated at a table. After 15 minutes, your audience moves to other tables =
and
another group of attendees comes to your table to hear about your idea.
Generally presenters bring handouts describing their teaching idea that
attendees can take away with them.=20
I've presented two GIFTS presentations at National Communication =
Association
Conventions and always find them comfortable, valuable, and fun.=20
The conference will be held at Rutgers University on Saturday, March =
27th.
If you are interested please respond to me at equafinality@yahoo.com and
include your name, institutional affiliation, and a title for your =
exercise.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me. I am =
submitting
the proposal today, but will be able to add names of presenters until =
the
end on next week, Friday, 2/27/04.
Hope to hear from you soon.
