As far as I know, there aren't any directions per se to the egg drop
experiment. I remember when I had to do it as part of a science experiment
in 8th grade and as far as I can recall, there weren't any specific
requirements. We dropped the eggs off of the roof of my school so, basically,
anything you could do to prevent the egg from cracking was allowed. Some kids
used very unique methods such as placing the egg in a box surrounded by
Jell-O cubes, but it cracked anyway. I used pantyhose to suspend the egg in
the middle of a perfectly square shipping box and the egg didn't crack. Good
