ED-MEDIA/ED-TELECOM 97--World Conference on Educational Multimedia and
Hypermedia and World Conference on Educational Telecommunications are
jointly held international conferences, organized by the Association for
the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). These annual conferences
serve as multi-disciplinary forums for the discussion and dissemination
of information on the research, development, and applications on all topics
related to multimedia/hypermedia and distance education. ED-MEDIA/TELECOM,
the premiere international conferences in the field, span all disciplines
and levels of education and attract 1000+ attendees from 50+ countries.
We invite you to attend ED-MEDIA/ED-TELECOM 97 and submit proposals for
papers, panels, roundtables, tutorials, workshops, demonstrations/posters,
and SIG discussions. All proposals will be reviewed for inclusion in the
conference program, proceedings books, and CD-ROM proceedings.

Proceedings
-----------
Accepted papers will be published by AACE in the proceedings books,
Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia, 1997, and Educational
Telecommunications, 1997, and on CD-ROM. These proceedings serve as
major sources in the multimedia/hypermedia/telecommunications community,
reflecting the current state of the art in the discipline. In addition,
selected papers may be invited for publication in the Journal of Educational
Multimedia and Hypermedia (JEMH) and the International Journal of
Educational Telecommunications (IJET).
Hotel and Travel Arrangements
-----------------------------
Special conference room rates will be available to attendees from
$30 for Univ. of Calgary housing to approximately $90 at nearby
Calgary hotels (US$). Special discount airfares will be available from
a designated airline carrier.
Conference Background
---------------------
The ED-MEDIA conference series originated as the International Conference on
Computers and Learning (ICCAL) which was held as a major international
symposium in Calgary, Canada (1987); Dallas, USA (1989); Hagen, Germany
(1990); and Wolfville, Canada (1992). ED-MEDIA conferences have been held
in Orlando, USA (1993); Vancouver, Canada (1994); Graz, Austria (1995);
and Boston, USA (1996). ED-MEDIA/ED-TELECOM 97 is the ninth in this series
of internationally respected meetings.
