Symposium on CATEGORIES, IDENTITIES AND PERSONS IN INTERACTION
Loughborough University
Tuesday 29th June 2010

The Discourse and Rhetoric Group at Loughborough University are running an =
informal one-day symposium on 'Categories, Identities and Persons in Intera=
ction' on Tuesday 29th June, 2010. We'd like this to be the first of an ann=
ual summer event with a specific focus on categories, identities and person=
s, within the context of debates about conversation analysis, sequential or=
ganization and membership categorization analysis.

The day will be organized around short presentations by speakers and inform=
al roundtable discussions and debates.
Speakers include:

 *   Rod Watson
 *   Stephen Hester
 *   Richard Fitzgerald
 *   Nick Llewellyn
 *   Elizabeth Stokoe
 *   Charles Antaki
