To All Section Presidents, Members of the International Council, and
all Members of IAMCR:
The Fall issue of the IAMCR newsletter is being prepared; however, I wanted to share
with you a number of items that I am sure are of interest to you.
1. Following is the list of new members of the Executive Board, and International
Council, and new Section Presidents. I know sending it through e-mail may make is
illegible, but the full list will appear in the newsletter coming out in October.
2. As I announced in the last International Council meeting in Sydney, President-Elect
Manuel Pares I Maicas (Spain) and Carmen Gomez-Mont (Mexico) are coordinators of the
1997 IAMCR conference in Oaxaca, Mexico. Prof. Pares I Maicas will be in charge of
programming and arranging panels and Prof. Gomez-Mont will be in charge of
registration and providing information about the conference venue. Information
regarding the dates of the conference,
registration, etc. will be distributed soon as soon as I receive them from the
organizers and will be published in the next IAMCR newsletter.
3. The deadline for items sent to the IAMCR newsletter is September 20th. Please send
information directly to Andrew Calabrese, editor, by e-mail.
Regards,
Hamid Mowlana
