Hello,

I am currently teaching a 300 level course in International Media, focusing
on communication for development, and looking at issues such as
info-rich/info-poor, core-periphery, information flow, as well as general
comparative frameworks for national broadcast/media policies/practices.
Mainstream and alternative media are looked at from within the frameworks
stated above.

I'm interested in the following for an upcoming portion of the course:
(1) have students in the class communicate one-on-one via email with
students outside the U.S. to include various perspectives on matters both
profound and mundane...

(2) have a limited number of students, theorists, and practitioners outside
this class participate in a electronic conference discussion group, using a
conference software program that utilizes a Web browser.

If this subject and approach is of interest to you, please talk to me about
possible participation.  I'm particularly interested in including
participants from so-called "less developed nations," but certainly will
consider any area of the globe.
