Western Journal of Communication

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

WJC follows a policy of blind, peer review. Typically manuscripts will be reviewed by three reviewers who are experts in the methodological and theoretical perspectives of the manuscript. Manuscripts must not be under consideration by other publications. (Manuscripts will not be returned to authors).

All manuscripts should be double-spaced, using 10 characters per inch. Include with each submission a separate title page which provides the following information: (1) manuscript title and author(s); (2) full names of authors, professional title(s); author's full address(es); telephone, FAX number, and e-mail address; and the history of the manuscript (i.e., any previous public presentation or publication of any portion of the manuscript or data set; whether it is derived from a thesis or dissertation; and any other pertinent information about its history and development). The manuscript should be accompanied by a separate 100-word abstract. Manuscripts should conform to either the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 4th Edition, 1994, or the most current edition of The MLA Style Manual.

Authors may submit manuscripts in one of two forms: (1) Four paper copies of the manuscript (retain the original) plus separate title page and abstract, or (2) via email send the manuscript as an attached file in one of two word-processing formats: WP 6.0 or higher or MS Word 5.1 or higher.
